Tow Policy Advocacy Fellowship at the Drug Policy Alliance

Collage

The Tow Policy Advocacy Fellowship prepares graduate students to be skilled policy advocates for social justice. The fellowship places students in policy advocacy organizations and provides academic coursework to support and enrich the internships. Tow Fellows will have the opportunity to practice the skills of policy advocacy, gaining firsthand experience in the field with the attendant challenges and rewards along the way.

As a Tow Policy Advocacy Fellow at Drug Policy Alliance (DPA), I worked on New York’s drug policy reform campaigns by conducting regular outreach to constituents, developing informational materials and participating in coalition and legislative meetings. I also supported DPA’s inaugural Office of Academic Engagement, which connects researchers and policymakers.
